Description

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley for added flavor


Instructions

  Prepare the Mixture
Mix ground chicken, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined.

 Shape the Nuggets
Take 1 tablespoon of the mixture, roll it into a ball, and flatten it into a nugget shape. Wet hands lightly if the mixture sticks.

 Set Up the Breading Station

Bowl 1: Add flour.

Bowl 2: Beat eggs.

Bowl 3: Add breadcrumbs (and Parmesan if desired).

 Bread the Nuggets
Coat each nugget in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.

 Cook the Nuggets

Frying: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry nuggets for 3–5 minutes until golden brown.

Baking: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes on a greased sheet, flipping halfway.

Air Frying: Cook in a preheated air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway.

Notes

For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs.

To make the nuggets gluten-free, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.

You can freeze uncooked nuggets on a baking sheet and transfer them to a zip-top bag once frozen. Cook directly from frozen when needed.
